Board Certified Eye Physician and Surgeon
Dr. Andrew Kortz received his Bachelor of Science degree With Honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Florida. The following year, he studied Natural Sciences at Trinity Hall , Cambridge University. He then earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. Following a tour as a U.S. Navy flight surgeon, Dr. Kortz was a resident in ophthalmology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. and, subsequently, an ophthalmologist at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. He received his fellowship training in corneal transplantation and LASIK surgery at Emory University. Dr. Kortz is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Kortz has performed thousands of eye surgeries and hundreds of corneal transplants.
Dr. Kortz is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist, certified by The American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kortz has extensive experience dealing with a broad array of eye problems and diseases including cataracts, glaucoma, eye plastics, retina and cornea related problems.
